Yes, you did read that right. Homo-Hating God Believers is a name for people who use one bible verse to argue their point, but forget all the other equally important verses. To be a Christian you must try to walk as closely to God as possible, and by ignoring the verses that can also pertain to the big argument you’re not doing a very good job. You’re simply using the bible to your advantage, and not loving people the way a Christian is supposed to.
So Jesus made followers out of fishermen, missionaries, and tax collectors. Considering the time period, people must have thought he was insane for trusting tax collectors, they were the worst type of scum to keep company with. But Jesus loves everyone, does he not? When Jesus was betrayed he still loved everyone. When you went to the bar last weekend, when you wished hate on someone last week, when you SINNED, Jesus still loved you. But your small mind forgot that all sins are equal didn’t you? If Leviticus 20:13 speaks of a sin, then every time you sin you’re doing equal damage. But as previously mentioned, God still loves you. He forgives you. What is it in your small mind that makes you think He doesn’t forgive them too? What is it that makes you think your sin is smaller in comparison to theirs? NEWSFLASH! It’s not.
Not only are you putting yourself above other people by thinking your sins are lesser than theirs, but you’re also looking down on them and judging them. Now, according to that bible you like to use so much in your defense, a Christian shouldn’t judge. Remember that part of the bible, or is your memory a little hazy from all the alcohol you consumed when you were out “sinning less than others” last night? Last time I checked, God will be the one doing the judging BECAUSE HE CREATED US. Did you create all of mankind? Can you see every detail of their lives? Do you know what they’re hurting for? No you don’t, so why can you suddenly judge them?
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
IF you are deeming homosexuals a crime against God, sinners, Satan’s children, you ARE a hypocrite. As the verse said, ” Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?”. How can you judge someone as a sinner when you sin in your own ways and believe you’re okay. Do you not realize that when God does his roll call and you’re not there, someone you had thought was Gay and a sinner will be there in your place? You, as a Christian, still have MANY flaws. WE ALL DO. Get off your high horse and realize this before you ruin your chance to get to the Kingdom of God. Leave the judging to him, or you will be judged in the same way you have judged.
“Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”
“As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.”
As a Christian, I believe that Homosexuals are human beings created by God, forgiven by God, and loved by God. I will show them friendship, understanding, and the love of God, even if others do the opposite. Because we as Christians weren’t called to be judges, we were called to leaders, lovers, and friends. If you need a little more help understanding why you’re in the wrong, here’s a full list of bible verses you need to read about judging.
